Server Position

Position Summary: Ensures a positive guest interaction while serving guests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience.
  • Welcomes and greets guests within two minutes of being seated.
  • Informs guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Offers specific beverage, appetizer, entre, and dessert recommendations either upon request or genuinely feels guests will enjoy.
  • Answers questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests, enters orders in our point-of-sale system before taking item to the table.
  • Delivers food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
  • Cleans and prepares the table for the arrival of menu items.
  • Performs side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintains clean and stocked service and dining areas.
  • Monitors and observes guests dining experience. Ensures guests are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Responds promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Provides proactive beverage refills.
  • Prepares final bill, presents check to guest, accepts payment, and processes through the POS system or pat at the table system.
  • Is ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask.
  • Expresses appreciation to the guests, for their visit and invites them to return.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Notifies the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
  • Covers other servers duties while on break as requested by MOD and in accordance with rotation.
  • Participates in scheduled catering events as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous server experience in restaurant or hospitality sector required or minimum six months experience working for any of our restaurants as a host, busser or other similar guest interfacing position. Must have good performance and manager reference.
  • 18 years of age or older as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Food handler's card and alcohol awareness training certification where required by state and local laws.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
