Electronics Technician

Responsibilities Use mastery of electrician trades skills and knowledge to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, machines, and equipment. Create and assemble components and install them as required. Perform preventative maintenance. Document maintenance and repairs as required. Interact fluently with those in other trades and work areas to complete work assignments; provide technical electrical expertise to mechanics, facilities, and other work teams. Facilitate repair of electrical and electronic equipment, induction heating. Design electrical and electronic equipment. Edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic. Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment. Formulate maintenance of computer programming. Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and build coils for the same. Ensure proper heat control on heat‑treating furnaces. Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC. Contribute to the department continuous improvement culture. Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and well‑organized work area. Maintain confidentiality of all matters. Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR associate’s degree from an accredited program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role. Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions. Good math and analytical skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Physical Demands Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push. The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
