Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer IIIPrimary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Quality Engineer III with our power technology client in Bloomfield, CT. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.Pay: $37.00 - $42.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.Schedule: The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.DescriptionResearch and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes and develop quality standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and standards. Typically has a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. The technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.Education/ExperienceBachelor degree in engineering required 5-7 years' experience required.Responsibility LevelExercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor Skills Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required) Team player and detail oriented (Required) Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports (Typically required) Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Typically required)Major Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliabilityTop Skills You Are Looking ForProblem solving skills Knowledge of automotive PPAP AAIG Core tools knowledge IATF knowledge Good communication skillsAdditional Manager NotesThe ideal candidate will need to have knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA. The knowledge of mini tab software and MS suites are a must for this role.
