TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Meridian, Idaho, 83642!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 7p-7a Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Certification Required Must-Have: Must have 2 years of Medical Surgical experience. Must have EPIC experience. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry. Description: Candidates must be willing to take students and may be required to precept new travelers. This unit has 42 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, with occasional 1:6 situations. Common diagnoses include respiratory and gastrointestinal issues, as well as behavioral health concerns. If patients have been in the emergency room for more than one day, they will be roomed here to work on discharge plans. Charge Nurse is present on each shift and rarely takes patients unless necessary. There are nurse aides or patient care technicians available on this unit at a ratio of 1:8. Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow, which the respiratory team manages. Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips, as virtual telemetry technicians are available. The facility has scheduled weekend shifts, with a requirement of 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Travelers are utilized to fill shifts as needed. Holiday shifts may also be required if there is a need for coverage. Registered Nurses may float between similar units within the system as necessary. Scrub colors are flexible, as long as they are clean and professional. A minimum of 3 days of general orientation is required, including EPIC training and meeting with an educator. Online modules must be completed before the start of the assignment. There are 2 shifts on the unit with a preceptor. Candidates must adhere to the specified radius rule for placement.
