This position will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation by purchasing diversified commodities on a competitive basis without sacrificing quality.Primary responsibilities include:Generates and communicates raw material purchase orders to suppliers based on MRP requirements issued by PlanningExpedites delivery of raw material orders, follows-up on back orders, and coordinates with the warehouse on receipt of materialsInitiates the Purchasing Info Records within our ERP system for new materials; working with raw material suppliers to confirm pricing, lead time and order quantitiesSupports the Quality Department by coordinating with suppliers on raw material non-conformities, developing Supplier Scorecards, issuing and tracking receipt of Annual Quality Change Notification Documents, conducting Supplier Audits, and filing/tracking appropriate Quality Certifications of suppliersWorks with Accounts Payable to verify invoice discrepancies related to either quantity or priceFollows all GMP, FDA and ISO regulations and guidelinesObserves all safety rules and uses the proper PPEThe ideal candidate should possess the following:Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.Preferred prior work experience in a procurement role within a manufacturing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsSolid background with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong experience with ERP Systems (preferably SAP or JD Edwards / Peoplesoft).What We Offer YouWe believe that by continuously improving the quality of our benefits, we can help to raise the quality of life for our team members and their families.
