Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Acts as a patient advocate while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive surgical services.

Responsibilities:

• Administer safe, effective, and patient-centered care aligned with surgical standards.
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Implement age-specific care protocols and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Maintain proficiency in sterile technique and pain management, utilizing appropriate techniques for optimal patient comfort.
• Lead and coordinate nursing activities, organize workload, and adapt to changing assignments to meet clinical priorities.
• Contribute to maintaining professional standards and developing systems to improve perioperative patient care.

Qualifications:

• Strongly prefer a BSN credential; must be a graduate of a registered nurse program with an active Oklahoma RN license.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
• Possess thorough knowledge of sterile technique, pain assessment, and management.
• Exhibit the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively within a team.
• Commit to ongoing professional development in perioperative nursing practices.
