Summary of Role: In this role, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments aimed at the creation and optimization of leading-edge silicon transistor technology (12nm technology generation and beyond) within a development environment. This includes physical and electrical data analysis and extensive interaction with FEOL integration, unit process, reliability, and modeling teams. In addition to achieving industry-leading device characteristics, you will monitor and control variability and reliability to ensure manufacturability and work with customer design groups to define technology requirements and parametric goals for GlobalFoundries' technology roadmaps. Essential Responsibilities include: Optimize and develop semiconductor devices and processes to enable device characterization. Perform specialized device design and development while applying an understanding of the process integration that leads to device characterization. Optimize devices by applying semiconductor device physics and knowledge of associated device manufacturing processes. Conduct analytical and physics-based modeling and apply process integration methods. Enable new features efficiently for new technologies, features, or device introductions. Collaborate with cross-functional technology development teams on projects and assignments as needed. Required Qualifications: Education – Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or related field from an accredited degree program. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. 0-2 years of relevant experience. Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Preferred Qualifications: Prior related internship or co-op experience. Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making. Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning & organizational skills. Experience in data automation and scripting with Python, R, SQL, or JMP/JSL.
