Position: Loan Servicing Specialist Location: Birmingham, AL Job Id: 329 # of Openings: 1 Job Description: The Loan Servicing Specialist ensures loans are accurately maintained in the bank’s core system and supporting documentation is complete, current, and compliant with record-keeping procedures. This role supports both internal and external customers by keeping loan portfolio information up to date and ensuring collateral is properly maintained, secured, and insured as applicable. Board new loans accurately into the bank’s core system. Maintain loan files throughout the life of the loan. Track and report on required items such as collateral insurance, mortgage re-inscriptions, UCCs, escrow accounts, and related documentation. Help ensure proper insurance coverage for collateral, including force-placed insurance when needed. Support imaging, storage, and research of loan documentation. Process loan payments, payoffs, paid loan files, and collateral releases. Monitor and reconcile loan-related general ledger accounts as needed. Follow company policies, procedures, and values in all work. Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. 3–5 years of loan servicing or related experience preferred. Strong understanding of loan products, services, and servicing processes. Experience working with loan core systems. Preferred Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills. Working knowledge of FISERV Premier or similar core systems. Knowledge of insurance guidelines and loan documentation. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Professional, courteous demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
