Riverwalk Apartments is seeking an educated or experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our team for a ground-up multifamily construction project. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong leadership skills and proven experience or education in new construction projects involving apartments, hotels, or similar large-scale commercial/residential developments.

The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of overseeing projects from start to finish while ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope
• Maintain job site safety and compliance standards
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
• Communicate project progress with ownership and management teams
• Resolve field issues and construction delays efficiently

Assist in Project Manager Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and overall execution
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
• Review contracts, drawings, and project specifications
• assist in tracking project costs, change orders, and procurement
• assist in project meetings and provide progress updates
• Ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards
• Assist in scheduling and project planning from preconstruction through completion

Qualifications

• Experience in ground-up new construction (or educated in construction projects
• Prior experience with apartment complexes and/or hotel construction strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project coordination
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with construction management software is a plus
