School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Portage Des Sioux, Missouri

This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled Registered Nurses interested in providing critical care within a school setting. The director is seeking an RN who is comfortable serving either in a full-time paraprofessional capacity or in a part-time nursing-focused role, depending on your preference. As a dedicated support for a medically fragile elementary student, you will play an integral role in ensuring their safety, comfort, and ability to participate in classroom activities. Your expertise and care will be valued and appreciated by both the school staff and the student's family. Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri Experience supporting pediatric or medically fragile individuals preferred Previous school nursing or paraprofessional experience is a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student-centered care Ability to start by 8/24 and commit to the full school year Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 care for an elementary student during the first half of each school day Monitor the student's medical needs, administer medications/interventions as required Communicate effectively and collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare teams Support the student's participation in classroom activities while ensuring safety Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to school policies This position offers the chance to make a direct difference in a child's educational journey, working school-day hours for the full academic year.
