Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer II - CNC & Waterjet Equipment Join a leading industrial equipment team supporting advanced waterjet cutting and surface preparation systems at customer facilities throughout North America and beyond. This role is ideal for a hands‑on Field Service Engineer with experience troubleshooting CNC machinery, robotics, motion control systems, and industrial automation equipment. The position offers extensive travel, technical problem‑solving, customer interaction, and opportunities to work with cutting‑edge manufacturing technology. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC waterjet cutting and industrial automation equipment at customer sites. Provide technical support to customers regarding equipment operation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. Identify replacement parts and support customers with parts‑related inquiries. Perform preventative maintenance and assist customers in developing maintenance schedules. Document service activities, repairs, and technical findings accurately and on time. Maintain positive relationships with customers and distributors while serving as a technical resource. Support after‑hours, emergency, and on‑call service needs as required. Travel extensively to customer locations to resolve equipment issues and ensure optimal system performance. Requirements Associate's Degree in Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field; OR equivalent technical training. Minimum 3-5 years of recent field service, maintenance, or equipment service experience. Experience troubleshooting CNC machines, robotics, motion control systems, or other capital equipment. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills. Experience diagnosing and resolving complex equipment failures independently. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to travel extensively, including international travel to Canada and other locations as required. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and related software applications. Preferred Qualifications CNC programming experience. Experience with microprocessor‑controlled systems. Previous experience supporting waterjet equipment or advanced manufacturing machinery. Strong documentation and technical reporting experience. Experience working directly with customers in a field service environment. Additional training in automation, controls, robotics, or industrial maintenance.
