The facility operates as a correctional center delivering outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population within a secure clinical environment. The facility maintains established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery to support consistent care throughout the assignment period. Clinical workflows are structured to address the primary and chronic care needs of the population served.

The assignment area offers clinicians access to a range of regional attractions suited to varied interests, including urban destinations and outdoor recreation opportunities. Surrounding areas provide access to natural landscapes, coastal features, and mountain environments, with year-round activities available across the region. Additional day trip destinations and outdoor recreation areas are accessible by car or ferry within a few hours of the assignment location.

Clinicians will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population on a day shift basis at an on-site correctional facility, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected caseload is 8-16 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing injury management, acute illness treatment, follow-up visits, physicals, complicated chronic care management, urgent care, and minor procedures within a structured correctional environment. Required credentials include Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board eligibility or certification, BLS, a state PA license, DEA registration, COVID vaccination, and prescriptive authority. Familiarity with sutures and injections is preferred, as is prior Department of Corrections experience; credentialing for this position is estimated at 1-2 weeks.
