Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs adult transthoracic, stress, dobutamine stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms, ensuring adherence to established practices and procedures. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluations and communicates results to cardiologists. Collaborates with cardiologists to determine examination requirements and adjusts technical factors accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct adult transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, and assist with transesophageal echocardiography.
• Prepare patients and operate ultrasound equipment following protocols.
• Analyze and provide preliminary assessments of echocardiographic images.
• Communicate findings promptly to cardiologists for review.
• Consult with cardiologists to establish exam requirements and customize technical settings.
• Participate in call rotation, including holidays, with a minimum of 10 days per month.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active certification as a Sonographer or Echocardiographer.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing adult transthoracic and stress echocardiograms.
• Possess experience with transesophageal echocardiography procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of echocardiographic equipment and technical standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cardiology staff.
• Show flexibility to participate in call and holiday rotations.
