Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Technician to assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of topographic and construction survey data. This role works closely with Survey Project Managers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient surveying services that support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Post-process and analyze survey data using specialized software.

• Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files for construction stakeout activities.

• Produce accurate and professional As-Built drawings.

• Perform volume calculations and earthwork computations as required.

• Prepare cut sheets and sketches to support various field operations.

• Organize and maintain CAD files using Xrefs, Dynamic Blocks, layers, and color standards.

• Interpret civil, structural, and architectural plans and specifications.

• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.

• Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

• Promote and uphold the company's values, policies, and standards while contributing to a positive team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D .

• Strong understanding of survey points, point groups, CSV files, coordinate systems, and related survey concepts.

• Ability to calculate pipe slopes accurately.

• Experience organizing DWG files using Xrefs, Dynamic Blocks, layers, and colors.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings and specifications.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agtek Earthwork 3D for surface creation, earthwork calculations, and material takeoffs is preferred but not required.
