Lead Software Test Analyst

A Lead Software Test Analyst (Software Test Analyst 3) is needed to work in concert with the PEI IT Project Team to ensure the quality and usability of the new application while ensuring software coding complies with the requirements and design of the new system. This Worker will lead, manage, and document testing activities with other project team members. This Worker will also participate in and document design specifications for the project team. The Worker will help mitigate timeline and accuracy risks associated with software coding changes by discovering defects in software code prior to its release to internal and external customers. The services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop and maintain test cases for system and user acceptance testing.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts.
• Review, analyze, and execute test cases within a formal testing tool.
• Track, document, and report the status of testing.
• Work with project Business Analyst to correctly interpret business processes and requirements.
• Create use case scenarios and test plans that accurately map back to the documented business requirements.
• Perform meeting and/or presentation preparation tasks as needed (e.g., provide agendas and pre-meeting materials as well as follow-up notes, post-meeting materials, assignment follow-up and related activities).
• Use of the complete MS Office suite.

Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills along with extensive software testing experience of a new application technology is required. This Worker must also have at least five years' experience developing and maintaining scripts in the Client ALM tool.

Worker will perform tasks under general supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Minimum Requirements:

• 10 years software testing experience using analysis, skills, and interacting with business end-users and technical staff
• 10 years experience in formulating use case scenarios, creating test plans, and performing application testing
• 10 years experience developing and executing detailed test cases within a complex software environment
• 8 years experience with business analysis related to documenting and validating business requirements and business processes
• 8 years ability to work in a team environment and interact with a diverse level of staff to exchange and/or extract information
• 5 years experience in developing, maintaining, and upgrading automated test scripts using Client ALM
• 5 years experience with MS Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.)
• 5 years experience setting up test data using MS SQL
• 8 strong analytical, interpersonal, and both oral and written communication skills

Preferences:

• 5 years working knowledge of web and portal processing
• 5 years working knowledge of JIRA for defect tracking
• 5 years working knowledge of SharePoint

Services are expected to begin as soon as possible and are expected to be completed by 08/31/2016. Total estimated Worker hours shall not exceed 1,200 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
