WSH provides in-patient psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults from 34 counties of Western Kentucky who have severe mental illness. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, plans and provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients.
• Carries out nursing care plans and comprehensive treatment plans for patients on assigned wards.
• Prepares and maintains documentation involved in the administration of medications and patient treatment.
• Oversees the work of Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Aides in the performance of direct patient care.
• Attends and participates in educational programs and required training.
• Participates in nursing care conferences and treatment team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
