Responsibilities:

• Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and physician certification to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Follow Plan of Care as established by supervising Physical Therapist and report changes in patient status promptly.
• Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines and verify Plan of Care prior to each visit.
• Incorporate patient care goals into therapy care and instruct patients and families on safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Instruct patient and caregiver in the therapy home program.
• Work in a physically demanding environment requiring full range of body motion, handling, lifting, and transfer of patients.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area (up to 50%).
• Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
