DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS — ELK AVE HOSPITALITY

Elk Ave Hospitality is growing fast in Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley, and we need an OPERATOR — not a caretaker — to run point on our venues.

This is not a maintenance job. This is a BUILD job.

THE ROLE

You will OWN operational performance across every Elk Ave venue. Full authority. Real accountability. No hand-holding.

You call the shots on execution, guest experience, revenue, and team performance — and you’re judged on RESULTS, not activity.

You work directly with GMs, Chefs, and venue leaders — but make no mistake, YOU set the pace.

WHAT YOU’LL DRIVE

DOMINATE THE MARKET. Grow revenue, guest capture, market share, and average check across Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley — and outperform the competition doing it.

WIN THE SEASON. Attack peak season like a competitor, not a survivor. Build staffing and operating plans that let Elk Ave crush shoulder season while everyone else scrambles.

BUILD LEADERS, NOT FOLLOWERS. Develop GMs and managers who make fast decisions and own outcomes. You don’t want order-takers under you — you want operators.

HIT THE NUMBERS. Controllable profit, labor, COGS, prime cost — you know these cold, and you move fast when they’re off target. No excuses, no waiting for permission.

RAISE THE BAR. Guest experience, product quality, venue presentation — you set the standard and hold people to it, hard.

WHO WINS THIS JOB

A proven multi-unit operator who has RUN hospitality businesses, not just managed them.

Someone with seasonal/resort/mountain -town battle scars — you know what peak season pressure looks like and you thrive in it.

COMPENSATION

$130,000–$150,000 base. Bonus program tied to PERFORMANCE. Full benefits.

LOCATION

Crested Butte, Almont, and the Gunnison Valley, Colorado — on-site, full-time, all-in.

Nights, weekends, holidays, peak season — this is a leadership role, not a 9-to-5.
