About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: ARRT License, California Fluoroscopy License, CT License Certifications: Registered Radiographer Must-Have: ARRT License Required California Fluoroscopy License Required CT License Required Must be proficient in X-ray and CT scans Flexible with shifts as needed to cover the department, including nights and weekends Available to work some holidays as requested Ability to work independently Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. These procedures must be performed following department and hospital protocols and policies. Radiologic Technologists must perform the procedures competently and independently, as applicable. This position may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. It may require availability for on-call coverage and can include varying shift hours. Directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the technologist works closely with medical staff, including radiologists and physicians. Collaborating with hospital leadership and departments, the technologist also engages with internal and external customers. Works in a general hospital setting and may encounter patients in varying stages of infectious states. Qualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Radiologic Technologist Certification from a recognized accrediting body. California State Radiologic Technologists License. Desire to cross-train into other modalities. Current CPR card. Preferred: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in the applicable field or equivalent experience. Experience with medical PACS/RIS and EHR systems.
