This crucial role handles performing maintenance activities that ensure smooth and efficient operation for our partners in a material handling facility. A strong electrical/mechanical background and the ability to pass an assessment are needed./ph3Responsibilities and Duties/h3ulliTroubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment, including batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo-driven equipment, photoelectric devices, transducers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and encoders./liliInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates./liliInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace pneumatic equipment, including diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils./liliInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic equipment, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps./liliWeld equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by the scope of work./liliPerform preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment, including conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment./li/ulpJOB SUMMARY:/ppThis role handles the proper maintenance and repair of machinery./ppSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:/ppNone/ppESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:/ppRESPONSIBILITIES:/pulliReassembling machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work/liliStart machines and see mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems./liliInspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors or repair needs./liliLubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures./liliInstall, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications./liliDismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists./liliRecord production, repair, and machine maintenance information./liliRead work orders and specifications to decide machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance./liliSet up and run machines and adjust controls to regulate operations./liliCollaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment./liliInventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished./liliTransport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies./liliCollect and discard worn machine parts to maintain machinery and work areas./liliClean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment./lili*PERFORMS ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED*/li/ulpQUALIFICATIONS:/ppEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:/ppAssociates degree in maintenance or equivalent from two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
