Training Lead

Job Description:

Education/ Certification Mandatory:

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, communications, information systems or a closely related field.
• Equivalent demonstrable experience is acceptable in place of the degree.

Work Experience Mandatory:

• Five or more years designing and delivering end-user training for enterprise software, of which at least two are Federal.
• Demonstrated authorship of user guides, quick reference materials and recorded video tutorials, not just slide decks.
• Experience delivering role-specific training to distinct audiences from the same platform.
• This order names six: FOIA officers, subject matter experts, program managers, reviewers, QA reviewers and administrators.
• Experience running live training webinars of roughly two hours to a federal audience.
• Experience building and maintaining a knowledge base of FAQs, help articles and support documentation.
• Able to hold a GSA Tier 1 or higher background investigation, and Tier 2 if training uses material containing PII or CUI."

Education/Certifications Nice to Have:

• CPTD, ATD or equivalent instructional design credential. Section 508 Trusted Tester certification.

Work Experience Nice to Have:

• FOIA process knowledge, so training speaks to how FOIA officers actually work rather than to features.
• Experience producing Section 508 conformant training materials, including captioned video.
• Prior GSA experience.
• Experience writing release notes that a non-technical user can act on.
• Experience building practice exercises from synthetic or dummy documents, which is how this order requires practice material to be produced.
• An existing favorable Federal background investigation."

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Write the training plan covering schedule, audience, topics, materials and delivery method, delivered before training begins.
• Deliver initial training webinars of approximately two hours.
• Build and deliver role-specific training for FOIA officers, subject matter experts, program managers, reviewers, QA reviewers and administrators.
• Write user guides and quick reference materials.
• Produce video tutorials or recorded training sessions.
• Build sample or dummy documents for practice, where feasible.
• Write release notes for major updates.
• Deliver refresher training as needed across the period of performance.
• Build and maintain knowledge base access: FAQs, help articles and support documentation, delivered on production deployment.
• Deliver all training sessions before production deployment, which is what SOW Task 15 requires.
