SUMMARY

The Vendor Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and coordinating qualified service providers across multiple skilled trades, including plumbing, electrical, locksmith, roofing, landscaping, and general contracting. This role supports both emergency and scheduled maintenance requests by quickly sourcing the right vendors, building strong contractor relationships, and ensuring service coverage in designated markets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit and onboard qualified contractors across multiple skilled trades.
• Source vendors to support emergency and non-emergency facility maintenance requests.
• Quickly identify and secure available resources to meet customer service expectations and response times.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors to ensure ongoing availability and service quality.
• Utilize consultative sales and communication skills to expand the company's contractor network.
• Evaluate vendor qualifications, licensing, insurance, and service capabilities.
• Coordinate with operations and dispatch teams to fulfill work orders efficiently.
• Negotiate pricing, availability, and service expectations with vendors.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and market coverage information.
• Identify service gaps and proactively recruit contractors in underserved areas.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned
• Adapt to changing priorities to support department and organizational goals.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, or team outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in facilities maintenance, property management, construction, restoration, or contractor services.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with vendor sourcing, recruiting, dispatch, or inside sales preferred.
• Knowledge of skilled trades and contractor services is highly desirable.
• Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and vendor management software.
