Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting, including oncology, cardiology, transplant, and VAD patient populations
• Manage care for a diverse patient mix including non-trauma, a small pediatric population, and psych/behavioral health patients
• Collaborate with EMS and multidisciplinary teams within a 27-room department, with capacity to flex into hallway beds and a vertical care area
• Float within the hospital as needed based on unit demands
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience with strong general ED background
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Must be available for weekend shifts unless schedule indicates otherwise
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Exceptional professional references required at time of submittal (minimum 2, preferably supervisory — Manager or Director level)
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification preferred
• Experience with complex medical populations including transplant and VAD patients
• Background working with psych/behavioral health patient populations in an ED setting
