Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Douglas, Georgia. Key Details Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Douglas, Georgia Assignment Length: 13 weeks Travel Status: Travel PT Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Job Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English and in following written and verbal instructions. Computer proficiency (PC skills). Physical capabilities: remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, bend, and assist procedures. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation and assistance with procedures. Capacity to work under supervision and independently, handle irregular schedules, and maintain concentration.
