Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications
• Weld and solder components to fabricate or assemble metal structures according to project requirements
• Use various tools and equipment, such as welding machines and torches, to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for quality and accuracy
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards and codes during all welding operations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and welding codes
• Strong knowledge of different welding techniques, such as TIG and MMA
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in welding processes
• Familiarity with ductwork fabrication and pipe threading is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality welds
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks while being exposed to the elements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
