Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Alpine, Texas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Some on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Ensure appropriate supplies are available and support the timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patients' families and provide updates as appropriate
• Maintain and update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases and supervise personnel delivering patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Local candidates will not be considered for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing and circulating in a variety of surgical specialties
• Familiarity with AORN standards and regulatory compliance in a surgical setting
