Hospitalist – South Brooklyn Health / Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital

Join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) as a Hospitalist at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The campus hosts an 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital offering emergency care, labor and delivery suites, and surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute provides outpatient primary and preventive care, specialty services for children and adults, and programs to keep the community healthy.

Opportunity Details

• Medical management and care of patients in the Medicine Inpatient units.
• Attend to consultations and referrals as needed.
• Provide education and training to resident, medical student staff, and junior members of the medical team.
• Collaborate with facility‑wide departments as required.
• Participate in hospital‑wide performance and quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
• Flexible schedule for evening and overnight hours coverage – dedicated hours with flexibility for coverage.

Qualifications

• Current or pending NYS license.
• Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience treating a diverse patient population preferred.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary (board eligible): $241,000* (board certified): $246,000* – based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

Estimated annual total value of the compensation package: $360,620** (board eligible) and $366,120** (board certified). Includes baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as outlined below.

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; after one year of service, an additional 7% contribution of base earnings; no employee match required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
