Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Alexandria, Virginia. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The nurse is responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and facilitating effective team communication.

Job Details:

• Location: 2501 Parkers Lane, 4th Floor, Alexandria, VA 22306
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to first shift, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, active nursing license, and relevant educational background.
• Responsibilities: Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission; contribute to patient education and discharge planning; document patient care accurately and timely; participate in patient rehabilitation programs; communicate effectively with care team; delegate, supervise, and train ancillary staff; ensure safety compliance; maintain communication with management regarding equipment and supply needs; and assume charge responsibilities as appropriate after orientation.
• Additional Information: The RN will promote patient and staff safety, adhere to hospital guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, punctuality, and safety policies. The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical competency, and continuous professional development.
