Manufacturing & Production Technician-2

Packaging Operator Operate packaging equipment to fill finished product bags for sampling, weight, label, palletize, stretch‑wrap, and store in the warehouse for shipment to the customer. Ensure food safety, safety, and attention to detail are the first priority. Assist the shift supervisor or other site leadership members with tasks required in other areas or departments. Lift up to 50 lbs manually and work in inclement weather and hot/cold temperatures. Floor Operator Provide daily support in the production department. Receive material into the plant using standard operating procedures, communicate with railroads for delivery and removal of railcars, ship material using Bill of Lading information, load and unload product from trailers, and assist in other areas as needed or assigned by the shift supervisor or site leadership. Lift up to 50 lbs manually and work in inclement weather and hot/cold temperatures. Utility Operator Provide daily support in the utilities department. Operate high‑pressure steam boilers, process and test chemicals, monitor secondary containment, interact with the process distillation system, and operate or interact with the site waste treatment center. Assist the plant coordinator with tasks required in other areas or departments. Lift up to 50 lbs manually and work in inclement weather and hot/cold temperatures. Obtain an Arkansas high‑pressure boiler operator’s license within the first 6 months in the role. Lab Operator Prepare the plant scientific and medical laboratory for test samples, maintain records, keep equipment, and provide data to support findings. Control Room Operator Monitor operations through various computer monitors that identify the main operating mechanics of the plant. Safety Accountability – EHSQ Critical Role Level 3 Support the Tate & Lyle culture where Environment, Health, Food Safety and Quality comply with all EHSQ policies, procedures, and regulations. Speak up and intervene to prevent unsafe conditions and respect fellow workers and communities. Abide by Life‑Saving Principles and STOP WORK AUTHORITY. Ensure quality and food safety within the area of control. Report all incidents, defects, and hazards; conduct checks and inspections for policy adherence. Suggest improvements and participate in general improvement of systems and methods of work to ensure EHSQ supports activities in a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and cost‑effective manner. Skills, Training, and Experience Required High School Diploma or equivalent. 0‑2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
