Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Low census may occur in 4-hour increments; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit; fast-paced with high patient turnover
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Patient population includes post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Scrub color: any color
• Must have 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU) and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
