Position: Staff Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift:

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Summary:

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care utilizing the nursing process. This position involves supervising co-workers and delegating appropriate tasks in the implementation of patient care. All duties must be performed in alignment with established organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in one of the following:
  
  
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensure/Certification: Valid nursing license to practice in the State of Ohio. CPR certification is required.
• Experience: Previous Registered Nursing experience is preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
• Delivers quality care based on individual assessment and established care pathways.
• Educates patients and their families throughout the admission to discharge process.
• Documents the nursing process and patient care thoroughly, accurately, and legibly.
• Communicates pertinent patient observations and status changes to physicians.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Implements physician orders as directed.
• Ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patient care.

Physical Capacity Demand:

Heavy Work: May require exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
