Help shape advanced manufacturing technology and improve the products that power critical applications. We’re seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support Ring Laser Gyroscope (RLG) manufacturing, drive process improvements, and solve complex production challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for RLGs, with a focus on glass machining .
- Analyze yield, performance, and process data to identify trends and improve product quality.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and technical issues and lead root-cause investigations.
- Develop and implement process, assembly, and product improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects .
- Support new and existing manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and test methods.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, CAMP, FMEA, and RCCA methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Support production testing, failure analysis, assembly, and processing of returned products.
- Partner with factory, laboratory, and cross-functional engineering teams to improve productivity and manufacturing flow.
- Help maintain test equipment, preventative maintenance plans, and overall factory capacity.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, test, fabrication, assembly, or product engineering.
- U.S. Person status required.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, RCCA, FMEA, or other continuous improvement tools .
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, manage priorities, and work effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams.
