Lead grocery retail operations for the dairy department, overseeing daily execution, product availability, quality, and customer service while guiding a team of 1–5 employees. This role is responsible for department ordering and vendor coordination, with a focus on sales growth, customer satisfaction, waste reduction, and margin improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily dairy department operations and team workflow.
- Supervise, support, and develop 1–5 department employees.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize product waste.
- Merchandise dairy products effectively and ensure proper product rotation.
- Place department orders and coordinate with vendors.
- Monitor product quality and uphold food safety compliance.
- Deliver responsive, courteous customer service.
- Drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, waste reduction, and margin improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management and retail merchandising.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ordering systems.
- Understanding of product rotation and sales analysis.
- Team leadership and customer service experience.
