Truck Gate Security Officer- 3rd Shift

Truck Gate Security OfficerSecurity Engineers is seeking dedicated Truck Gate Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Minimum QualificationsMust have or be able to obtain a Valid ASRB License as required by the state licensing authorityMust be at least 21 years oldDuties & ResponsibilitiesPatrol & Surveillance • Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concernsMonitor access points; verify IDs and credentialsMonitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activityIncident Response & Reporting • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocolMaintain accurate logs of activities and incidentsPerform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)Customer Service & Policy Enforcement • Assist visitors and employees professionallyEnforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocolsEnsure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)Required Skills & AbilitiesMinimum • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsWeekend availabilityStrong situational awareness and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in critical situationsBasic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reportingPreferred • Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements (subject to change based on client-specific needs)• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without breakWalk a minimum of ½ mile without stoppingClimb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stoppingEducation & ExperienceMinimum • High School Diploma or equivalentNo prior experience requiredPreferred • 1+ years verifiable Military, Law Enforcement or Security Experience2+ years of verifiable customer service experienceEducation Requirements (All)High School Diploma or equivalentCertification Requirements (All)Alabama Security Regulatory Board License, preferred Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses State Issued Driver's License (Not Expired)Additional Information / BenefitsBenefits: 401K/403b Plan, Safety Reward ProgramThis job reports to the Site ManagerThis is a Part-Time position 3rd Shift, Summers.
