Low Voltage Technician

Job Description Looking to add additional cable technicians to the team in preparation for an increase in project work. Candidates must have experience pulling, terminating, and punching down CAT5 and CAT6 cable, and a basic understanding of fiber optic cable (no 90° bends). Work will occur on new construction sites and renovation of existing buildings. Responsibilities Pull, terminate, and punch down CAT5 and CAT6 cable throughout commercial buildings. Assist with routing cable from office cubicle to closet and perform closet preparation. Work collaboratively with electricians, HVAC technicians and other vendors on site to meet project timelines. Perform basic fiber optic tasks and ensure cable runs comply with project standards. Qualifications At least 6 months of experience with punch downs, terminations, and cable running in commercial buildings. Knowledge of CAT5, CAT6, fiber, coax, termination, 66 and 110 block. Ability to handle renovation construction job sites and work within confined spaces. Reliable and flexible, willing to work overtime as required.
