We are looking for a Human Resources Partner to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position supports daily HR and administrative operations by coordinating employee records, assisting with payroll-related activities, and helping maintain efficient office processes. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information while providing dependable support across HR and finance-related functions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate HR paperwork for employee onboarding, status changes, and separations while ensuring records are completed accurately and on time.

• Maintain secure employee documentation in both electronic and paper formats, with a strong focus on confidentiality and organization.

• Respond to routine employee inquiries involving timekeeping, benefits, and general HR matters, escalating issues when appropriate.

• Prepare and share payroll-related reports and assist with pre-payroll data gathering and spreadsheet maintenance for internal stakeholders.

• Support finance administration by submitting payable documents, preparing check request materials, and confirming required approvals are collected before processing.

• Assist with honorarium billing, deposit tracking, and early-stage collections follow-up in partnership with the finance team.

• Oversee incoming and outgoing mail and help keep administrative communications and materials moving efficiently across the organization.

• Manage calendars, filing systems, templates, and internal tracking tools to help ensure deadlines, meetings, and recurring operational tasks stay on schedule.

• Update forms, checklists, and workflow documents to improve consistency and support smooth day-to-day business operations.

• At least 3 years of administrative experience, including exposure to human resources, employee support, or finance-related work.
• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for document preparation, reporting, and coordination tasks.
• Experience with HR systems, accounting software, or electronic document platforms is helpful.
• Strong understanding of HR administration, employee relations, HR policy, and performance management practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy in handling records and transactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting employees and internal teams.
