BLDG 5, Market, Kitchen and Patio, is looking to hire motivated and energetic  Hosts to join our team. This role is at the heart of our guest experience by serving as the first person guests see when they arrive and the last person they see before they leave, while helping create a smooth, welcoming experience from start to finish.

Located in the heart of the Perkins Road Overpass area, BLDG 5 is a soulful restaurant and neighborhood bar offering seasonally inspired, Chef-driven cuisine in a funky, comfortable, and casual atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing a warm, friendly, and welcoming first and last impression for every guest
• Managing the reservation system, including checking in reservations, managing the waitlist, monitoring table availability, and communicating accurate wait times
• Following BLDG 5’s seating guidelines while considering server sections, guest requests, table availability, and overall service flow
• Communicating relevant guest information, requests, and updates clearly to servers and managers
• Maintaining awareness of the dining room and proactively communicating with guests throughout their experience
• Keeping the host stand, entryway, menus, and common areas clean, organized, and presentable
• Setting up reservations according to BLDG 5’s visual standards, including creating and placing custom reservation signs
• Maintaining restroom cleanliness and ensuring common guest areas consistently reflect BLDG 5’s standards
• Assisting retail guests as needed and supporting other FOH team members to ensure a seamless guest experience

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and a genuine interest in hospitality who is ready to learn and grow with our team.
