Business Execution Consultant - (Workday Compensation Consultant)
Location: Minneapolis, MN / Charlotte, NC (CIC) Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Contract Length: 3 months Pay Rate: $53/hr - $57/hr (OT40)
Role Overview:
In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in moderately complex Business Execution initiatives supporting Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation capabilities. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and product teams to design, configure, validate, and implement enhancements within the Workday Compensation Review environment. The successful candidate will leverage deep Workday Compensation expertise to analyze business needs, create proof-of-concept solutions, configure system enhancements, support testing activities, and ensure compensation processes align with business objectives while delivering an intuitive user experience.
Top Requirements:
- Deep Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation configuration experience.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience designing and configuring Workday Compensation Review solutions.
- Agile delivery experience including Jira, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience leading testing, validation, and implementation activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Advanced Compensation certifications.
- Large enterprise Workday implementation experience.
- Compensation process optimization experience.
- HR technology consulting experience.
- Agile product delivery experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Workday Compensation Configuration:
- Configure and administer Workday Compensation Review (Advanced Compensation).
- Design scalable compensation solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Develop proof-of-concept configurations to validate functionality and business fit.
- Support enhancements related to Merit Increases, Compensation Reviews, Compensation Planning, and Advanced Compensation Processes.
- Recommend process and configuration improvements.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:
- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and requirements workshops.
- Document Business Processes, Functional Requirements, Data Flows, and User Experience Requirements.
- Translate business needs into Workday solutions.
Agile Delivery Support:
- Create and refine User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Functional Requirements.
- Support Agile planning and delivery activities.
- Track work, dependencies, and progress within Jira.
- Collaborate with product and delivery teams throughout implementation.
Testing & Validation:
- Coordinate testing activities across solution enhancements.
- Support Functional Testing, End-to-End Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
- Validate configurations and ensure business requirements are met.
- Resolve defects and support production readiness efforts.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with HR Business Teams, Product Owners, Technology Teams, Compensation Stakeholders, and Agile Delivery Teams.
- Provide Workday Compensation subject matter expertise.
- Influence solution decisions and best practices.
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Share Workday Compensation expertise across the team.
- Promote best practices and configuration standards.
- Provide guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
