About the Role


A confidential, nationally recognized coffee and café operation is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee a high-volume location in Chapel Hill, NC.


This position is responsible for creating a culture of hospitality, accountability, and operational excellence while leading all aspects of the business. The General Manager will be the driving force behind team development, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and day-to-day execution. What You'll Do

• Direct all daily operations to ensure an efficient, profitable, and guest-focused business.
• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing management and hourly team.
• Create a culture centered around hospitality, teamwork, and accountability.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent while developing future leaders.
• Analyze sales trends and key business metrics to drive revenue growth and operational improvements.
• Manage labor, inventory, food costs, and controllable expenses to achieve financial objectives.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing strategies to align with business volume and peak demand periods.
• Ensure consistent execution of company standards for service, product quality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Monitor inventory levels, ordering processes, and product availability to support smooth operations.
• Lead ongoing coaching and performance conversations that encourage development and engagement.
• Maintain compliance with all health department, food safety, and company operating procedures.
• Act as the face of the business by fostering strong relationships with guests and resolving issues professionally.
• Lead from the front by actively supporting the team during busy service periods.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of General Manager, Store Manager, or senior hospitality leadership experience.
• Background in high-volume restaurant, café, coffee, quick-service, or fast-casual operations.
• Proven success managing teams, driving sales, and achieving financial goals.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, labor controls, budgeting, and cost management.
• Experience developing team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing guest experience and business results.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business needs require.
