About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in the NICU at Northwell Health is responsible for providing age‑specific care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in collaboration and patient care management. Highlights Location: Danbury, CT Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full Time What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations. Identify patient’s need for teaching based on psychosocial and developmental assessment. Develop patient outcome statements and establish individualized patient goals. Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care. Requirements Education Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty. Licenses & Certifications Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
