Clinical Nurse Educator

Clinical EducatorFunctions as member of the management and nursing team. Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for nursing orientation for new employees and internal transfers. Provides educational programs and in-service to the employees, as well as consults, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs provided.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Master's degree required.5+ years clinical nursing experience required.Knowledge of CPSI preferred.Must have knowledge surrounding nursing equipment (IV pumps, SCD pumps, CBI, etc.)Experience in Med/Surg, ED and/or Critical Care areas required.Licensure/Certification:Current Georgia License as a Nurse.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelinesPerforms all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organizationPerforms other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and proceduresMaintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs)Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations of time.Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
