Corporate Tax Manager - Houston, Texas

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a dynamic tax team supporting multiple clients in corporate income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (provision preparation or audit support). You’ll manage client engagements from start to finish while collaborating with specialists across our tax practice. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction
• Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to staff, including associates and interns
• Review tax returns and ASC 740 provisions for accuracy and potential tax savings
• Conduct research and consult on complex tax matters
• Utilize tax software for return preparation and compliance
• Respond to inquiries from tax authoritiesBuild strong client relationships and understand client business operations
• Attend professional development and training sessions regularly
• Maintain professional standards and client confidentiality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or JD/active law license
• 4–7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience
• Corporate tax and ASC 740 experience in the past 1–3 years
• Experience in public accounting (top 15 firms preferred)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, corporate tax laws, and regulations
• Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (in-office ~3 days/week)
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision
• Knowledge of state and local taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing
• Experience supporting large multi-state, national, or global companies
