About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead its financial operations within a government contracting environment. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for leading the organization's financial strategy, operations, and ensuring full compliance with federal regulations. This includes the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and executing financial strategies that support long-term growth, providing strategic financial guidance, and preparing the financial operations for expansion. Additionally, the CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, as well as manage all elements of finance, including accounting, treasury, and financial reporting functions. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or CPA preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in government contracting or DoD-related industries. The role requires a deep understanding of FAR, DCAA, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), as well as experience in contract and pricing management, financial operations, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and mentoring finance teams, exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms, such as Deltek Costpoint, is also a key requirement.
