The Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of 332 residential units, managing daily operations and ensuring tenant satisfaction. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role requires strong organizational and communication skills to handle lease management, maintenance coordination, and vendor relations. The Property Manager will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Section 8 housing guidelines, while working independently and supported by administrative staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive tenant relations and address tenant concerns promptly
- Manage lease agreements and renewals efficiently
- Coordinate maintenance requests and schedule timely repairs
- Oversee budget management and financial reporting for the property
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure standards are met
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service contracts
- Collect rent and ensure timely payments
- Monitor compliance with housing regulations and conduct audits
- Resolve conflicts between tenants and other parties effectively
- Administer and adhere to Section 8 requirements and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in property management
- Affordable Housing/Section 8 certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with property management software
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Budgeting and financial management expertise
- Conflict resolution and maintenance scheduling abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
