Substitute Bus Attendant SY 2026-2027 Starting Date: Immediately Job Description This role involves providing safety and assistance to school bus passengers, including use of wheelchair and other equipment, ensuring compliance with bus security protocols, and maintaining a safe environment while traveling. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. 3 online professional references, including 1 from current supervisor. Bus Attendant Training – proficiency with all equipment (wheelchairs, tie‑downs, harnesses, seatbelts). Blood Pathogens Training, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified. Physical Requirements Requires effective use of sensory skills to communicate and interact with other employees and the public via telephone and personal contact. Must be able to use and operate office‑related equipment such as a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions are required. Other Requirements Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Candidates with ESL and foreign language fluency are encouraged to apply.
