TITLE: Project Director REPORTS TO: Regional Director LOCATION: Deep East Texas Workforce Development Area EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt Employee Career TEAM is looking to hire a Project Director who will be responsible for overseeing a single project and ensuring the project's overall strategic plan is executed. In this role, the incumbent will apply working knowledge of Workforce Development protocols, including a basic understanding of the field, core programs, and business plans. As a leader and member of the Corporate Management Team, the Project Director is accountable for ensuring quality and integrity across all workforce functions. Your Impact on Career Team’s Success Serves as primary local contact and contract liaison with Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas (WSDET) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Oversee daily programmatic operations across the twelve-county Deep East region Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including adherence to policies and procedures, and program monitoring Prepare and manage multiple funding streams' rates to keep the project on track without disallowed costs, drive metrics and performance, provide support, coach frontline staff, and create service delivery plans for the project Lead high-functioning teams to execute program initiatives while supporting employee growth, through coaching and training Build and maintain strong relationships with the Board, employers, community organizations, labor representatives, and workforce partners, through regular meetings and planning sessions across the Deep East region Support business development and identify growth opportunities within the project, state, and region Conduct regular coaching sessions and annual performance evaluations of the team Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset Other duties and projects as needed Other Job Duties: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of experience in operational leadership and management 3+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with an aptitude for communication and interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others, with courteousness and a high level of professionalism 2+ years of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive Willingness to uphold Career Team’s core values and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to lead a team with different working styles.
