Technical Product Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Preferred)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of innovative technology solutions that improve healthcare operations, digital experiences, and patient outcomes. This role partners with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and end users to define product vision, prioritize initiatives, and deliver scalable, high-impact products from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and execute a data-driven product strategy aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Define product vision, strategy, investment priorities, and commercialization opportunities.
  • Leverage customer feedback, market research, competitive analysis, and business metrics to guide product direction.

Product Discovery & Planning

  • Lead product discovery using customer-centered methodologies to define business problems, opportunities, target outcomes, success metrics, and product requirements.
  • Develop and prioritize product roadmaps, release plans, and feature backlogs.
  • Define product objectives, target capabilities, capacity projections, service level expectations (SLOs/SLAs), pricing or chargeback models, and cross-functional dependencies.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional teams through product discovery, rapid prototyping, iterative development, testing, and successful product releases.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to evaluate technical tradeoffs, incorporate innovation, validate product quality, and ensure launch readiness.
  • Balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical feasibility throughout the development lifecycle.

Product Launch & Operations

  • Own product launch planning, stakeholder communications, customer readiness, and operational readiness for each release.
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, adoption, usage, and operational health to drive continuous improvement and business growth.
  • Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual product performance reviews with stakeholders using data-driven insights.

Leadership

  • Serve as a collaborative product leader by removing roadblocks, fostering innovation, aligning stakeholders, and promoting continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure secure management of information systems and product development practices.
  • Apply least privilege and least functionality principles while supporting security and incident response activities.
  • Promote cybersecurity best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare, or a related field required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Technical Product Management experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare industry experience.
  • Proven success delivering products through the full product lifecycle, including strategy, discovery, development, launch, adoption, measurement, and continuous enhancement.
  • Experience launching successful beta and Version 1 (v1) products.
  • Strong experience with healthcare technology, revenue cycle processes, workflows, and Agile product development.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure product development.

Technical Experience:  Candidates should demonstrate experience delivering modern technology products, including:

  • Cloud-native applications
  • APIs and microservices
  • AI/ML-driven solutions
  • Personalization and recommendation engines
  • Big data platforms and pipelines
  • Everything-as-Code and Everything-as-a-Service architectures
  • Mobile and web application product development
  • Product telemetry, observability, monitoring, and analytics
  • Modern application security best practices

Demonstrated Product Management Experience:  Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience with:

Product Strategy

  • Defining product strategies that solve customer problems and support business objectives.
  • Developing product vision, roadmaps, and investment recommendations.
  • Prioritizing features and product investments using customer, market, and business insights.

Customer-Centered Product Development

  • Conducting customer research and gathering feedback through multiple methods.
  • Validating assumptions through prototypes, experimentation, and iterative product development.
  • Using customer feedback to improve product direction and user experience.

Product Delivery

  • Successfully launching products targeted toward measurable business outcomes.
  • Managing product prioritization, release planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Leading engineering collaboration, feature validation, quality assurance, and launch readiness.

Product Performance

  • Measuring product success using metrics such as user adoption, engagement, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, business value, and other key performance indicators.
  • Using analytics and customer insights to improve products after launch continuously.

Leadership

  • Establishing a clear product vision ("North Star") for cross-functional teams.
  • Building consensus among business and technical stakeholders.
  • Removing obstacles, guiding product teams, and ensuring successful execution against business objectives.
