FIELD SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Field Support Technician

As iNet continues to expand across the Permian Basin, we're hiring Field Support Technicians to support the deployment and maintenance of advanced connectivity solutions. This field-based role offers paid training, a structured 90-day Short Service Employee (SSE) onboarding period, and a clear path to full Technician status with potential compensation growth. Relocation support or housing assistance is available for qualified candidates outside the local area. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• System Deployment: Install, align, and commission RF and satellite systems including Starlink, LTE, VSAT, and point-to-point/multipoint wireless networks.
• Cable & Equipment Setup: Run, dress, and terminate various cable types (CAT5/6, RG6, LMR-600/400, Romex); mount antennas and configure field equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair connectivity issues across remote sites; ensure uptime and performance.
• Digital Documentation: Use mobile tools/apps to log service notes, capture site photos, and complete job records.
• Field Operations: Travel independently or in small teams to regional sites; uphold safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Military background in communications or electronics (preferred)
• 3+ years in telecom, wireless, IT networking, or related technical fields
• Hands-on experience with LTE, satellite systems, and point-to-point radios
• Familiarity with Ubiquiti, UniFi, Meraki, Starlink, OneWeb, and WeBoost technologies
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power tools
• Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision
• Clear communication skills and professional field presence
• SCADA and PLC experience is a plus

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Drug and alcohol screening

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in shift/on-call rotations
• Ability to work outdoors in oil & gas environments and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Reliable attendance and safe driving to/from job sites (company vehicle provided)
