Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Engineer for John Deere Parts Distribution Center located in McDonough, GA, you will: 

• Perform analysis of medium to large datasets to identify facility optimization opportunities, support decision-making, and prioritize project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct detailed analyses supporting facility optimization, network design, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Lead and execute projects involving warehouse layout design and storage solutions that align with operational requirements and business objectives.
• Partner with vendors and suppliers (racking, material handling equipment, labor, etc.) to develop solutions, obtain quotations, navigate procurement processes, and ensure successful project implementation.
• Support and execute initiatives that improve key warehouse performance metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Provide engineering support for warehouse automation systems, equipment, and processes to drive reliable and efficient operations.

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment.
• 2 or more years of experience analyzing medium to large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and tools.
• 2 or more years of experience creating and modifying 2D facility layouts and designs using AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience leading cross-functional teams, including frontline and shop floor employees, to solve complex business challenges.

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2 or more years of experience identifying and implementing process improvements that drive measurable business results in safety, quality, productivity, and warehouse storage optimization. 
• 2 or more years of experience working with warehouse management or warehouse control systems (SAP or equivalent platforms). 
• 1 or more years of programming experience using SQL, Python, R, Java, or similar languages to analyze data and solve business challenges. 
• 1 or more years of experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, and reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools. 
• 1 or more years of experience supporting warehouse automation technologies (e.g., carton erectors, touchless packout systems), industrial equipment, mechanical design, or facility infrastructure. 
• Experience developing and presenting business cases, project justifications, and capital expenditure proposals to support investment decisions. 

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines), Data Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a similar technical field.
