JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Physical Therapy

Shift Timings: 08:00 - 16:30 Hours Monday to friday (5 days/8 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hours

• Outpatient therapy clinic with 5 physical therapists, 1 occupational therapist, and one speech therapist.
• Case load is 8-10 patients per day; one on one therapy sessions
• Primarily orthopedic patients with some neuro and generalized weakness
• Documentation is a SOAP note format using templates in Google Drive
• Prefer candidate have outpatient experience including treatment of: neck and back pain, post surgical shoulders and knees
• Position will never work in isolation but will surrounded by peers for support

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
• Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
• PT with SNF experience needed Some holidays and one weekend a month
• Minimum Qualifications
• Acute care experience - ICUs/Cardiac/Neuro/Trauma/Ortho Electronic Health Record is Cerner Typically assigned 9 evaluations w/expectation of completing at least 8

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Physical Therapist experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physical Therapist program
• Active unencumbered Kansas Physical Therapist state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
